Detroit Mercy Girls and Women in Sports Day
Hello!
The University of Detroit Mercy Athletic Department would like to invite you to the 2020 Girls and Women in Sports Day. The event will be held on Saturday, February 8, inside historic Calihan Hall. Registration opens at 9:00 a.m. with the camp starting at 10:00 a.m.
This year’s event is open to all girls ages 6-12, who will take part in a number of activities. The day will feature a variety of sports clinics inside Calihan Hall, where student-athletes from Detroit Mercy’s varsity teams will provide skill instruction and hands-on demonstrations with all attendees prior to the women’s basketball game.
The cost of the program is FREE, and all participants will receive complimentary admission for the basketball game at 1 p.m. In addition, all attendees will receive lunch, a gift bag and t-shirt.
During half-time of the women’s basketball against UIC, all attendees will be invited to the court to perform with the Titan cheer and dance teams. Following the game, attendees will also have the opportunity for autographs with the women’s basketball team and spirit squads.
And parents, while your kid is enjoying all the fun with the Titan student-athletes, you will be able to relax in the Titan Club and can attend the game for FREE too.
