US History with Mr. Harrison

The Ch. 18 sec. 2 Questions were checked at the start of the hour, and the we introduced the Korean War. Students then answered questions over the Korean War Stories video.

The Ch. 18 sec. 1 Textbook Questions were checked and discussed. Students also completed a biography on Uncle Wiggle Wings and questions over the Marshall Plan. They were then given time to work on the Ch. 18 sec. 2 Textbook Questions — due tomorrow.

We introduced the Cold War and Ch. 18, and then answered questions over a video on the Berlin Airlift. Students were also given time to work on the Ch. 18 sec. 1 Textbook Questions– due on Monday.

The Ch. 26 sec. 4 Chart was checked and discussed in class, along with a handout over the Telegraph and Morse Code.

We went over the answers to the Navajo Code Talkers handout from yesterday, and the Ch. 17 sec. 4 Questions. Students received a couple of handouts and a study guide to help prepare for Thursday’s Ch. 16 + 17 Test.

Students watched part of the documentary White Light, Black Rain, and then were given time to work on the Navajo Code Talkers handout.

We discussed the answers to the Ch. 17 sec. 3 Textbook Questions, and then students were given time to complete the CH. 17 sec. 4 Questions.

We finished discussing the Ch. 17 sec. 1-2 Questions and the Tuskegee Airman handout. Students completed a handout over the Nisei. We also watched the Crash Course over WWII.

The Ch. 17 sec. 3 Questions from yesterday were checked at the start of the hour. We finished discussing the “Day of Infamy” speech and then students completed a biography of Dorie Miller. We began looking at the CH. 17 sec. 1-2 Questions, including a handout over Rosie the Riveter and the Tuskegee Airman.

The Ch. 17 sec. 1-2 Questions were checked at the start of class, and then we finished up a video over the battles of WWII. Students were then given time to work on the CH. 17 sec. 3 Textbook Questions– due tomorrow.
