Reading:  Students will describe how reasons support specific points the author makes in a text.

Math:  Students will partition circles and rectangles into two, three, or four equal shares, describe the shares using the words halves, thirds, half of, a third of, etc., and describe the whole as two halves, three thirds, four fourths. Recognize that equal shares of identical wholes need not have the same shape.

Writing:  Students will work on informational writing.  They will work on editing, revising and publishing.

Science: Students will learn about plants and insects.  We will be investigating and discussing butterflies, mealworms/beetles, silkworm moths and brassica plants.

Social Studies:  Students will learn about resources to help us understand  about the past. They will be looking at an artifact and other information to learn and understand about the past.  We will begin to discuss timelines and what they mean.
