Online Resources during Remote Learning

Good morning! I hope everyone is doing okay and staying healthy during this time away from school! I know this is a big change for everyone, but we will get through it! I appreciate the students that have been keeping up with their Freckle and taking their time on their work. These scores are part of your report card grade so it is crucial you are taking your time on them. The expectations are the same from homework. If you are rushing and not getting a good score, you are expected to do extra practice. I am continuously checking this throughout the day and will be contacting home if need be.

As of now Freckle will be your daily assigned work from me. Although that is the only work that is assigned, there is a lot out there that you can do to keep up with your learning! Reading everyday is an expectation! You may read books from your book bag, from the library, from the classroom or books you have at home. I am attaching a list of comprehension questions that you could ask yourself, write down in a notebook, or have a parent or sibling ask you to check your comprehension. You could also type them on Google Docs and share them with me, I would love to see them 🙂

There are also many great resources online that are offering free services with everything going on. I am attaching a list below of many free resources out there for students to go on that will help them continue their education throughout this month away from the classroom.

As always I will continue to post any updates on Remind over the next month. Remind is a very easy way for you to get ahold of me if need be. Please reach out at any time with any questions or concerns that you have! Students also have an email from the district (their 2010 number followed by @dearbornschools.org). You can email me with any questions or concerns on there as well.

Thank you for your continued support!

Ms. Hankard
