Reminder- there will be a spelling test tomorrow. The spelling list was posted and provided to students the Monday before break.

We are also still collecting cans, scarves, mittens, and hats. Please send in whatever you can spare.

There will be pizza sold tomorrow after school for one dollar a slice. There will be NO popcorn sale tomorrow.

We are still collecting canned foods for the less fortunate. Our current total of cans is 93 which puts our class in third place.

Lesson Plans for the week of  November 24th

We had so much fun building our own landforms out of modeling clay!!!

E.SE.02.21 Describe the major landforms of the surface of the Earth (mountains, plains, plateaus, valleys, hills)

The core values assembly will be held at 9 am tomorrow morning.  Please have your child wear their Oakman School shirts.

November 17th lesson plans

Conferences are set for the 13th of November (tomorrow) as well as the 19th and 20th of November. I look forward to speaking with each and every parent.  The conferences set for tomorrow will take place with the parents of Mahdi, Abbas, Maysa, Ali H, Mohamad K, Roka, Zaynab, and Issa.

Reminder message from the faculty:

Parent Teacher Conferences begin tomorrow. Please make sure you are on time for your appointment and do not stay longer than your allotted time. DO NOT MISS YOUR APPOINTMENT PLEASE!!!

PTA BACKWARDS DAY HAS BEEN POSTPONED TILL NEXT WEEK.

Nutrition Grant children will all meet on Friday the 14th and Friday the 21st due to Parent Teacher Conferences. There will be no classes on Thursdays for the next two weeks.

Please submit $5 each to your child’s teacher for the t-shirt. All students will wear their shirt on Friday, November 21st for the 1st Core Value Assembly.  Shirts will not be distributed till all monies are collected.

Students will receive a study guide today for our upcoming Math Test which will be administered this Wednesday. Please have your child complete the study guide. We will go over the study guide tomorrow in class.

I will also be sending home conference reminders this week and next. Thank you

November 10th plans

Hello Parents,

Each child will be asked to pay $5 for a t-shirt with the Oakman logo to wear at our first Core Value Assembly on November 21^st.  These t-shirts cost the school $10 each, but

Mr. Awada is covering half the cost as a gift to each student. You child has already been sized.

We ask you to pay the other half and send $5 to the teacher to cover the cost of the t-shirt.
