The meeting should be a quick 15 minutes and then I will be out in front of the building at 10am to pass out book bags and meet and greet with you until noon! So excited to see you. I will have another pick up day on Wednesday at the same time.

Are your ready and excited to start a new school year? I sure am! Lots of new and exciting things to learn for all of us. Tomorrow, Monday is our official first day of school. I would like to have a quick, welcome back Zoom meeting right at the start of the day at 9:00am. I will also post the week’s activities on my blog. Then starting at 10:00am until 12 I will be outside waiting for parents to pick up book bags and meet and greet you!

Tuesday- Zoom Orientation meetings. Please sign up. There are spots available.

Wednesday- Pick up book bags 10am – 12.

Thursday- Zoom Orientation meetings. Please sign up if you haven’t already.

I will be training for Schoology in the afternoons this week. Please check the school blog. There is a lot of information available on Schoology. More information to come from me once I set everything up. Thank you!

I have stuffed book bags with 10 reading books. I used your child’s reading level from 1st grade. If you are new to the school, I put beginning of 2nd grade leveled books into the bag. I will also have 3 math books and a wipe-off board for your child to use.

Please come to school and pick these items up. Pick up times are Monday, August 31 from 10am-12 and Wednesday, September 2 from 10am to 12. I will be training for Schoology in the afternoons. If you cannot make these times, Mrs. Fournier agreed to stay until 6pm on Wednesday. Thank you and hope to see you or meet you next week! :>

I sent everyone an email for you to sign up for Orientation next week. Three families per time. I expect it to last 15 to 20 min per session. Please have your child attend too. If you cannot make the times listed, I will post the powerpoint to my blog and you can then review it when you are available. Thanks!

In earlier chapters, we know that BAT does not like going to his dad’s house on the weekend. That is a problem. In Chapter 21 we find out that there is something that dad does that BAT likes. What is it? Hint- in the garage.

Why do you think BAT does not have friends his own age?

In Chapter 21 dad tells BAT that he has a sweet tooth. What does that mean?

In Chapter 24 BAT has to wait until recess to read the email response from Doctor Dragoo. Do you every have to wait for something? How does that make you feel?

What do you like to do when you go to a friend’s house?

At the end of the story, does BAT get to keep the skunk?

I am cancelling our Zoom meeting today for the Summer Program. My internet keeps cutting out. Probably the weather. My phone works but that is too small to zoom.
