I have made 3 assignments on Benchmark Universe. They are all word games or word builders. Please visit this site. It is on the bottom of the Reading Course in Schoology. Click on Benchmark Universeediting. This will take you to your Dashboard.  You will see your name in the middle.  On the right, you will see assignments.  Click on that.  Click on the open and closed syllables or other games. Then on the next screen, click open.  This will allow you to play the game.  Give it a try.

Please take your child to door 18. Do not go the playground door for Monday and Wednesday in person Labs. There will be an adult to escort him/her to my classroom. Please pick up your child at that door too when Labs are finished. We changed doors due to a large amount of children arriving at the same time.

I did not make this clear. Sorry. If your child is scheduled for Monday or Wednesday Learning Lab, the Lab will be in person with me or Mrs. Puchala. If your child is scheduled for a Tuesday, Thursday or Friday Learning Lab, the Lab will virtual with me or Mrs. Puchala. Thanks!

Sorry for the short notice but Learning Labs are cancelled for today, Thursday, October 1. Next week we will begin in person Learning Labs 2 days a week and the rest online. Mrs. Puchala and I will be planning and rearranging our schedule this afternoon. Thanks for your patience.

Learning Labs for my class are starting tomorrow, October 1. I will meet with the Purple, Red and Orange Groups. Red and Orange will also meet with Mrs. Puchala after me. Purple is at 2, Orange with Puchala at 2:25 and then me at 2:50. Red is with me at 2:25 and then with Puchala at 2:50. Please see past emails for days and times if this blog is confusing.

Ms. Puchala will have her own Zoom link on my Welcome Page. To come to my Learning Labs, use the regular Zoom button for all of our Zoom meetings.

The following words are your child’s Spelling Words for the week.  We will spend 5 minutes each day practicing the words during our Zoom.  You child will not be assigned independent work for Spelling but he/she can practice the words in any way.  We will have a whole group test on Friday.  I will ask that the test be done on paper and submitted on Schoology.  I’ll have a space for that in the Friday Folder.
