Back to School!

Please check your email for the “Back to School” letter from Mrs. Fournier and I. It explains our school moving towards in-person learning and the hybrid model we will follow. You will also see what days your child will attend school in person and which are virtual days at the bottom of the letter. Thank you.

Reading and Math 1-27-21

Reading- Raz Kids- I have assigned new stories this week with a quiz and a section to write an answer.

Benchmarkuniverse- I have also added reading assignments to Schoology for today. Please go to the Wednesday page for the assignment. To access the reading books, enter Benchmarkuniverse. Log in with google. You will see the assignment when entering Benchmark. Students should read the book and fill out the chart on paper at the end of the book. Submit the work in Schoology.

Math- This Friday, January 29, we will have a mid-module test. Tomorrow, we will review for the test.

The Week of January 25:

Valentine’s Day cards: We have 20 students this year in the class. Please have your child fill out Valentine’s cards for each student. Do not write the child’s name please. Have your child just put who it is from. Then drop them off at school on Monday, February 1.

Monday, January 25 is a half day.

Tuesday- I will be getting the Covid 19 Vaccine this day at noon!!! :> Therefore I am moving our 12:30-1 Zoom to Wednesday from 12:30-1. I will put it on the schedule too! Tuesday is also make up day for those 4 students that need to complete the NWEA for Reading. Your child is done with the NWEA unless you got an email from me stating otherwise. Make up testing is at 2pm. If your child has a Learning Lab with me on Tuesdays, it is cancelled. That is the Yellow, Green and Blue Group. Mrs. Puchala’s Learning Labs are still on. Be sure to check your schedule.

NWEA Test This Week:

At your child’s scheduled time, please have the test login page on one tab on the computer and Zoom on the other. The NWEA site page = test.mapnwea.org . Once I let students into zoom, I will share the test session name and password. You or your child can type it into the test page. Once I confirm students on my test page, they can all begin. I would like everyone on mute as we navigate the test. Please talk with your child before the test reminding him/her that he/she is to try his/her very best. Remind your child that the test is not read aloud and can be difficult at times. I will remind everyone this morning on zoom. I know it is tempting but, parents remember not to help with test questions or answers. Thank you.
