Book-it calendars are due for March.  March is the final month of this program but please continue to have your child read for 20 minutes a day.

After Spring Break, we will be doing a unit on animals and their life cycles.  Please send in a baby picture and a current picture of your child.  We will examine how we have grown and changed over the years.  Send in by Tuesday, April 14.  Thanks.

Due to the shortened week, our spelling test will be tomorrow!

Students may wear PJ’s tomorrow too.

On Monday , March 30, the 2nd grade math group will be having a test.  Study guide will be sent today.  Happy studying.

Tomorrow, in the gym, we will be reading “under the stars”.  Students may bring books from home, a pillow,a blanket and a flashlight too. Should be a fun time!

Fact Sheet homework will come home on Tuesday, March 24.

Next week, report cards will be sent  home.  On Thursday, March 26 we will be having conferences for those families that I’d like to see.  I am sending a sign-up sheet and an email to those that I’d like a meeting with.  I am also sending a note that says to some families that we do not need to meet at this time unless you find it necessary to talk with me about your child’s progress.  Thanks.

This Friday the 13, students may dress as their favorite storybook character to celebrate March’s Reading Month.

Please donate non-perishable food items to the Gleaners Food Drive. Please send these items in with your child and we will collect them in the classroom.  Then, we will try and block Dr. Tynan in his office with collected cans of food!   Food will be donate for needy families. Thanks!
