It has been brought to my attention that Epic wasn’t working for some. I put in all the parent emails. You should be getting an invite soon in your email. Follow the instructions and use the class code I blogged earlier. This should free until the end of the school year. Let me know if you need help and I’ll do my best to help. Thanks!

Home Work Reminder
Please continue working on Zearn. 3-5 lessons per week is acceptable. Please have your child complete lessons in the homework book as well. Students can turn pages in to me when we return to school.
Moby Max- Please have your child continue on the Reading Contest. Students can choose Reading Skills Literature and Informational, Vocabulary, and Phonics. All those skills count for the contest. There are other choices to do that are fun and interesting too!
Raz Kids and Epic- Epic is new and I just put our class in this morning. See previous blog post for directions. Students should choose books and read for at least 20 min per day.
Journal- Your child should write a journal each day. He/She can write the journal on googledocs and send it to me or write it on paper and turn it in when we all come back together. I have had parents take a picture of the written journal and send it to me. You can choose to do that too!
Spelling- Practice spelling the words by writing them in sentences, doing some of the activities we did in class like painting, if you have paints. Write words 3 times each, whatever you like.
ABCya- Have your child visit site and explore reading and math.
Let me know if you need any help. Stay well and healthy!

Chromebooks
Hi Everyone,
We will be loaning Chromebooks to Howe students who have a need. I posted information on our school blog about this. Pick-up will be Friday, March 20 from 9-11 under the canopy off of Ann Arbor Trail. I would like them to complete this survey to make sure we have enough Chromebooks prepared. Please share this information on your blogs as well.
Thank you,Tammy

Do You Need A Chromebook?
Teachers have provided daily on-line enrichment activities for students to complete while we are out of school. It has been brought to my attention, that we have some students who do not have access to a computer, tablet, or phone device to participate in these activities. With support from Dearborn Schools, we are extending an opportunity for our students with this need to borrow a Chromebook from Howe School until we return from the shutdown.
Chromebooks will be made available for drive-through pick-up on Friday, March 20 from 9:00-11:00 under the Ann Arbor Trail canopy at Howe School.
At this time we can only provide 1 Chromebook per family to be shared by all Howe students in the family.
You will need to have access to wireless internet or a hotspot to use the Chromebook in your home
A parent MUST be present and sign a copy of this form to receive a Chromebook. The form will be provided at pick-up. Please read for more information.
To reserve a Chromebook:
If you would like to borrow a Chromebook, please complete this form. This will help us to facilitate the process and ensure availability. Remember, you will need to have access to wireless internet or a hot spot to use the Chromebook in your household.
If you have questions regarding Chromebook Lending contact Ms. Fournier at fournit@dearbornschools.org.

ABCya issues
In talking with the other teachers, we have learned that ABCya- the free portion, only works on computers and not ipads or phones. So, no worries if your child cannot go onto this website. I won’t be monitoring time spent since it is not accessible for all. Thanks.
