Private Tutoring
If you are looking for a one-on-one tutor for your child, grades K-5, you may consider hiring Ms. Dina Khatib. Ms. Khatib is in her last quarter of student teaching through U of M-Dearborn, with a major in special education. She was my student teacher last spring, and just finished up her elementary student teaching experience with Mrs. LeClair. Parent Liaison
I would like to welcome and thank Mrs. Zaynab Zaban for being my parent liaison this year! She has so graciously offered to reach out to parents on my behalf for things like calling to remind you of important class meetings, field trip reminders, bake sale donations and other volunteer positions. Important Reminders
On Wednesday, I will be out of the building for professional development all day. Our guest teacher will be Ms. Dabajeh.
We will be hosting a bake sale on Thursday and Friday of this week, so any donations of baked goods would be greatly appreciated. We could also use parent volunteers around 2:00 both days. Please let Mrs. Klein or Mrs. Gwizdz know if you can help out. The money raised will be put toward our earth science field trip in November!
Picture Day is this Friday!
Finally, science projects were passed back today. However, if a project was turned in late, it is not graded yet. Please look them over and sign the rubric. If a child did not turn in a rubric, the grade is on the back of the project. Please sign that. Students have until Thursday if they want to redo or fix the project for a better grade.
Math Unit 2 test retakes will be Thursday morning at 8:00. This is optional. Students should have been studying and have a good grasp of adding, subtracting, multiplying and comparing decimals to take the test over.
Parent Meeting Change
Our data meeting will be Thursday, October 23rd at 2:40-3:25. I originally stated that it was at 1:50 that day, but I made a mistake. Mark your calendars and I look forward to seeing you!
