Social Studies Make Up Test

For those of you who are planning on taking the social studies make up test, it is tomorrow, Monday, December 8th, at 8:00 am in my room.  See you there!

News You Can Use!

• I will have a guest teacher tomorrow.  Mr. Laginess will be in while I attend a district science meeting.
• Ms. Brown, our pre-student teacher, will be concluding her experience with us on Friday.  We are all sad to see her go and will miss her immensely!
• The School Improvement Committee is looking for volunteers.  If you are interested, please call Mrs. Dawson at 827-2300 and let her know.
• Pajama Day is this Friday.  Students pay $1.00 to participate.
• Next Wednesday will be a late start, as well as picture retakes.  If you want your child’s picture retaken, you must return the old photos.
• The math test retake will be this Friday at 8:00 am.  Students must have earned a 3 or 4 on the test and showed up for BOTH Math Club sessions this week to be eligible.
• The social studies test retake is open to those students who earned a 3 or 4 on the test.  The retake will be Monday, December 8 at 8:00 am.  Students should study their test, notes and pages assigned to them in the red and blue social studies books.

Reminders for This Week

Social studies tests went home today.  Students should correct their answers and parents should sign the tests.  These are due back on Thursday.

Math Club:  Math Club will meet tomorrow morning, at 8:15.  Students MUST attend BOTH Math Club meetings in order to be eligible to retake the test this Friday.

Lunch Change

This week, the December 2nd and December 4th menu for first choice will flip flop. We will have hummus and pita on Tuesday, and fish tacos on Thursday.

Math Club/Math Retake

Unit 4 math tests went home today!  Most students did well, but there were a few that struggled.  If your child earned less than 80% on his/her math test, then he/she has qualified for a retake.  Retakes will be given Friday, December 5th at 8:00 am.

In order to take a retake, students MUST attend Math Club Tuesday and Wednesday morning, at 8:15.  Also, they need to bring their math test with them. I will use this time to go over the problems they had trouble with, as well as offer them extra practice.

Bussers need to get here ASAP.  For those who eat breakfast at school, eat at 8:00 and then come up by 8:15, or bring your breakfast up with you.

Social Studies Test Tomorrow!

Students should study their Jamestown notes and read the blue book, pp. 61-62.

Math Test on Tuesday!

There will be a Unit 4 math test on long division on Tuesday.  You can choose the method you want to use to solve the problems.  Start studying!
