A Message from the PTA
Hello Parents;
As you all know our Halloween Parade is coming up , next Wednesday, October 31st at 2pm. We have not received any candy bags for our parade. Unfortunately, if we do not have enough candy to pass out we are not able to go on with our parade. Please send with your child a bag of (individually wrapped) candy. I have been in contact with some parents that will volunteer their time during our parade.
Thank you all for your help and I thank you for all your generosity,
Zaynab Zaban

Team Spirit at The Park
In light of the Michigan/Michigan State game tomorrow, Geer Park celebrated Spirit Day. Everyone was asked to wear something with their team of choice to school today. We all had a good time! U of M was clearly the crowd favorite, but Brandon held his own as the only State representative! GO BLUE!
Congrats, Runners!
Congratulations to our runners from the Robert Cipriano Memorial 5K! All our runners did their very best to make Geer Park proud! Congrats again to Tarek, Hadi, Amam, Marwa and Fedek!

This year, we are trying something new in science- Notebooking! We set up our notebooks today and made our first entry. We made scientific illustrations of our writing utensils. In other words, we drew our pens! Check it out!

New Math Website
Check out Sumdog! It’s a free site for practicing your math facts. No need to log in, just click “Play as Guest.” But make sure you read the directions, because I came in SECOND place when I didn’t read them! Have fun!

Fraction Fill-In
Gwizdz Kids teamed up today to play Fraction Fill-In. This game helps students practice reducing, or simplifying, fractions. There is more opportunity to practice this concept on my Math page under Fractions.
