Notes for the Week

Parents,

I’m back!  I’ve missed my fifth graders terribly, but I learned some very interesting and engaging things while I was gone, and I can’t wait to share them with our fifth grade stars!  There are a couple of bits of info that I need to share:

• Open House is TONIGHT!  Please make sure to come with your child.  We will all meet in the Multi-Purpose Room at 4:30.  I can’t wait to meet you all!
• The conference sign up for November parent-teacher conferences is up!  Please access it on the Parent Info tab of my blog.  To sign up for a time, please reply in the comments section of the page.  You may also sign up tonight at Open House.  If the time slots available don’t meet your needs, please speak to me for alternate time choices.  Conference times are based on a first come, first served basis.  Sign up early!  🙂
• If you haven’t signed up for Remind yet, please do this ASAP.  This is a text-messaging service that is free and allows me to send simple reminders (homework reminders, test dates, picture day, etc.) through text.  I will have directions available at Open House tonight.
• Book orders will be placed today.  Thank you to those that ordered!
• The book fair is up and running in the Media Center.  It will be open tonight during Open House.  Our class has a shopping time for tomorrow morning also.

I look forward to seeing you all tonight, and for you to see what we’ve been up to in fifth grade.  🙂
