Lab Day!

Mrs. Bublitz’s class is making bolus out of oatmeal and water. This represents the first part of digestion, which takes place in the mouth.

Mrs. Gwizdz’s class added vinegar (stomach acid) to the bolus to make chyme.

Mrs. Bublitz’s class makes waste! By adding baking soda to our chyme, we neutralized the acid and removed the water like the small intestine.
