Today’s Reflection~September 13
We were very busy today!
*We worked on building our stamina during Read to Self. Our first try was 45 seconds, and the second was 4 and 1/2 minutes! We will try to stretch that out even longer tomorrow!
*We practiced our multiplication facts online, and got used to using the new NetBooks! Our scores today will be our baseline, and we will continue to progress from here. Students are highly encouraged to practice their multiplication facts at home. One quick and fun way is to use the blog! Check out the math tab and you’ll find all sorts of fun math fact practice sites!
*There are a couple of notes for you in your child’s mail today. One is a reminder about the Anti-Bullying Extravaganza that is taking place tomorrow at the Ford Center for Performing Arts at 6:00 pm, and another is our September book order. I highly recommend you order online because it’s easy and our class earns a free book each time you place an order! If you prefer the paper form, that’s fine too. Please remember, I can only accept payment in the form of a check made out to Scholastic Books.
*All in all, it was a fantastic day! I look forward to seeing all my smiling 5th graders in the morning! And don’t forget, Wednesday is Gym day. WEAR YOUR GYM SHOES!!!
