Our District’s Social Emotional Learning Committee from the Return to School Committee, is looking at how we may best support the social/emotional needs of our students when they return to school. The committee’s exploration of this topic has determined that we first must collect relevant data in order for us to understand the scope of need present in our school community. The survey should only take a few minutes to complete. You may take the survey in English, Arabic, and Spanish.

For all Snow families who were unable to attend our virtual parent meeting yesterday I am attaching the presentation below.
We were experiencing major glitching on Zoom this morning. Please have the students go on ZEARN for 20 mins. before lunch. They will report back to Zoom at 12:25 p.m. Thank you for your patience.
Good afternoon! I assigned a Geography Lesson on “Readworks.” To get to the assignment, students will go to my 3rd grade Schoology page and then scroll down to the button that says, “READWORKS – class code 6LQ2YB.” After students click the READWORKS button, they will be directed to the Readworks website to enter our class code: 6LQ2YB. Next, click on “Grizzell’s Readworks.” From there an assignment will pop up: “Geography and the World.” The assignment has two very short reading passages and comprehension questions to follow. Students will submit their answers no later than next Wednesday, October 7th. Thank you.

We had a great morning of learning and testing. I know there were some connection issues, but we kept going and did the best we could. We will meet at 12:25 after lunch for Social Studies. Then the students will log onto Mr. Moyer’s Physical Education page on Schoology. Homework is page 45 in the “Succeed” Math book.
 We cordially invite you to our first annual virtual meeting that will be held this Wednesday September 30, at 10:00 am. The meeting will be no longer then 1 hour and will cover topics such as virtual learning, Student Expectations and Title 1. These meetings are a valuable chance to meet one another and establish a positive rapport so that we continue Snow Elementary’s legacy of Success. I look forward to hearing from you.
