Parent Chaperones for Greenfield Village

Dear Parent Chaperones,

Thank you for volunteering to chaperone our trip to Greenfield Village on Thursday, June 8th.  The students are very excited for this day!  Please sign in at the office, at your arrival, and meet in your child’s classroom at 9:00 a.m.  We will go over some quick rules and give you your list of students who you will be responsible for.  We are asking that children do not bring any money for rides, food and gifts.  The purpose of our visit will be to experience life in the past while enjoying time with our classmates and families.

Thank you for your cooperation,

Mrs. Grizzell

Greenfield Village Thursday

Greenfield Village Field Trip

Thursday, June 8th

Dear Families,

We are very excited for our trip to Greenfield Village on Thursday!  Please have your child bring a lunch and drink in a disposable bag.  It is also a good idea to have your child bring a little backpack or bag to carry his/her lunch.  Other suggested items might include: hand sanitizer, tissue, and umbrella (check the forecast).  Children are welcome to play at the playground, however we ask that they not ride the train, boat, car rides or carousel since these things cost extra money.  We are also asking that the students not purchase items from the gift shops or food stands.

Thank you in advance for making our trip a success!  We are excited to explore the past with our classmates and families!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Grizzell

Mrs. Kearney

Mrs. Slater

Popcorn Day Thursday

Thank you!

Kindergarten through second grade, and MOCI students, will enjoy the morning games, 9 am-11 am.  Third through fifth grade students will have an afternoon Field Day, 1 pm-3 pm.  Everyone will have their normal lunch time.

Field Day t-shirts are due in Thursday– close!!, due to the new computerized printing system at the company we used.  If you ordered a shirt and it doesn’t come home Thursday, students will get them Friday morning and can change into them at school.  If shirts weren’t ordered students can wear any Snow Spirit Wear or any school appropriate shirt.

We are asking everyone to bring a water bottle, names on them please, which can be refilled at our rest station.  Students are welcome to bring a snack and fruit will be available at the water/rest station.

Questions? Please email or call Mr. Moyer, moyerm@dearbornschools.org, or Ms. Zechar, zecharj@dearbornschools.org. Keep positive thoughts for great weather!

Note from Mr. Stinson:

The concert will be held on Thursday, June 8.  Please be aware that this concert will be held outdoors. We will be singing on blacktop on the Houston side of the building.  Please bring lawn chairs or blankets along with you.  Students should wear comfortable clothing, nothing that is too dressy.  Students should arrive about 5:15 p.m. and we will be starting at 5:30 p.m.

Thank you for your cooperation,
