Wednesday: X is for X-Change Autographs.  We will gather the signatures of classmates and teachers.  Students may bring a booklet, journal or piece of paper to collect autographs.  (If we get our yearbooks before then, we can use those for collecting signatures as well.)

Thursday:  Y is for Year-End Clean out.  I will be absent for a post-op surgery doctor appointment.  We will have Mrs. Goodyear, Mrs. Adams’ daughter as our sub.  We will do our year-end clean out of desks on Friday when I return.

Good evening,

We have a busy day tomorrow!  Please remember to send a sack lunch with disposable drink to school tomorrow.  Also, it is popcorn day.  If you’d like your child to purchase popcorn, please send cash.  Each bag costs 50 cents.  Lastly, we have our vocal concert in evening.  Please have your child report to the hallway located outside of our classroom door at 5:15p.m.  Parents may leave students with me and then go find a place to sit for the concert.  The concert will take place on the blacktop on the Houston St. side of the school.  Parents are welcome to bring blankets and lawn chairs to sit on.  My class will be singing with the 2 second grade classes.  After the students sing, they will come and find their parents in the crowd to sit with and enjoy the rest of the show.  I hope that everyone can come out to enjoy this special event!

Thank you.

Field Day Water Fun!

Good morning!

Mr. Moyer has planned our field day events for Friday and 2 of them include water! 🙂

  1. Sponge Relay Race

Students will take turns using  sponges to fill up a bucket with water. First team to fill the bucket wins. Divide the group into two teams. Students will run down to a large container filled with water and dip their sponge in the bucket then run back to their bucket and fill it. Next, they will hand the sponge to the next teammate in line who does the same.

  1. Water Cannon Dodgeball

Students will each have a water cannon and try to hit the opposing team with water. If a student gets hit with water they are out. Students must stay in the boundaries of the court. If you run off the court you are out. Once a team is eliminated start a new game. Each team will have one bucket to fill their cannons.

Please send a change of clothes, socks and shoes for the afternoon. 🙂

Thank you,

Mrs. Grizzell
