Please send your child’s permission slip and $12 to school tomorrow, Thursday, if you’d like him/her to attend our field trip to The Henry Ford.  I need to secure our tickets this weekend.  Please send me an email if you need another slip.  We would love to have more chaperones!  Hope you can join us!

Students did a GREAT job on the reading NWEA!  All students improved their scores and some even surpassed their spring goal!  Way to go!  I will print score sheets and send them home as soon as the computer generates them.  We will test our math skills next week:  Wednesday, Jan. 23rd and Thursday 24th.

Learn communication skills that empower, encourage self-responsible behaviors, self-motivation and character development. Learn practical skills to positively effect the social and emotional development of your children and family. Certificate of completion is awarded to participants who complete the course!

Parent Talk Sessions will be on Fridays in Snow School Media Center from 2:00pm-3:30 pm

تعنى هذه الدورة بأهمية النقاش الفعال مع الاهالي و تأثيره على رفع سوية إنجازات الطلاب الاكاديمية و التقليل من مشاكل الانضباط  و السلوك . تعلم مهارات التواصل التي من شأنها تشجيع الطالب على التصرف بمسؤولية و ايجاد الدافع الذاتي وتنمية الشخصية. تعلم المهارات العملية التي تؤثر تأثير إيجابياً على التطورالاجتماعي والعاطفي للأطفال والأسر.

سيحصل الاهالي المشاركين في هذه المحاضرة على  شهادة تثبت حضورهم و اكمالهم هذه الجلسة.

تبدأ الصفوف يوم الخميس من الساعة 2:00 – 02:30 ظ في قاعة الطعام، في الأيام التالية:

I hope that everyone had a nice weekend!  Tomorrow we will begin testing our reading skills on the NWEA.  Please be sure that your child gets a good night’s sleep, good breakfast and comes to school with a healthy snack.  We will test first thing in the morning.  The students have worked so hard and we want their efforts to show by improving their fall scores.

Happy New Year!  I hope that you and your families are well!  We will be NWEA testing this month:

Reading NWEA will begin on Tuesday, January 15th.

Math NWEA will begin on Wednesday, January 23rd.

To help your children prepare for these tests, please allow them to practice on iReady, MobyMax (vocabulary, language, reading literature, reading informational, phonic blending, math & fact fluency) and Zearn from home or a local library.  If you’re having trouble logging in:

On your home or local library computer, an adult has to log in to get his/her email opened.  For students to log in to CLEVER, the STUDENT must be logged on to the computer with HIS/HER email and password.

To do this, you need to open your email and click in the upper right-hand corner on the icon for you (sometimes a photo or initial).

Click  ADD ANOTHER ACCOUNT

Then input your child’s student number 2——–@dearbornschools.org

Then enter their password: student’s birthday

Then GO to the Dearborn Public Schools home page.  (dearbornschools.org)

Click Resources and Students.
