Book Fair Information – Grizzell’s Class visits Tuesday 11:30-11:50 AM

SNOW SCHOOL SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR 

Note from PTA:

We are sending home flyers for students with times for shopping. These times are the same as in the fall – during their regularly scheduled book checkout times. Parents are encouraged to come in and shop with their child’s class. However, we know it’s not always possible so they are welcome to send in cash or make check payable to Snow PTA. (Please don’t forget to add 6% tax!) For adults able to attend, we also accept credit cards. We are always looking for parent volunteers! We can’t do it without them. Volunteer signups are available at:
ADDITIONAL SHOPPING HOURS:
After school Monday & Tuesday until 4:30pm
Right before Movie Night, Wednesday from 5 to 6pm
ONLINE SHOPPING:
Shopping at our on-line book fair is available until March 4, 2019

Reading at Home

Dear Snow Families,

A reminder about our Read at Home Plan.  Every Snow student should go home with “Good Fit” Books daily! “Good fit” books are books that are not too hard and not too easy.  The expectation is that students improve their reading skills and develop a love for reading.

Snow School Read at Home Plan

 

  • Reading Book Bags will go home daily with “Good Fit” Books
  • Students must read daily:
  • Grades K-1 15+ minutes daily
  • Grade  2 20+ minutes daily
  • Grades 3-5 30+ minutes daily
  • Reading Logs- Signed daily by parents and checked by teachers.
  • MobyMax  & i-Ready (Students can login through CLEVER on Dearborn Schools home page.  Please contact Mrs. Bush bushm@dearbornschools.org for assistance if needed.

Volunteers are needed to help run the Scholastic Book Fair next week.  If you are able to help for a few hours, please consider signing up!  The book fair will run all day Monday and Tuesday, Wednesday morning, and Wednesday evening just before movie night.  Cleanup will be on Thursday morning.  Please see the link below if you are able to help.  Thank you, Snow PTA

Valentine’s Day and Half Day Tomorrow

Good morning!  I hope that you are all staying warm and safe.  Tomorrow is a half day and we will be having a small Valentine’s Celebration.  Students may bring in valentine cards for their classmates.  A class list was sent home, but if you need another one, please send me an email.  Thank you to those who have signed up to send in items.  We will be dismissed at 11:45 A.M.  There will be no school on Friday or Monday because of the Mid-Winter Break.  Enjoy your Valentine’s Day and weekend!
