Snow Elementary will be holding our 3rd Annual Literacy Night event on Monday, March 09 at
3:45 pm. The Centers and room numbers are listed above. Once you sign in your child’s name in
the main lobby, you will be given a punch card that will allow you to visit three centers of your
choice. Snacks and drinks will be on sale for a $1 each in the cafeteria beginning at 3:45.
Students must be accompanied by a parent at all times.

Congratulations to our February I-Ready winners: Emma and Vivienne! They passed the most lessons for the month and were rewarded with a pizza lunch today.

Also, congratulations to Ana for winning the Read At Home Competition for the week! She won a free meal at Texas Roadhouse.

Hello!

Our class will be attending a learning field trip on Tuesday, March 10th to the Dearborn Historical Museum. It will be a 1/2 day trip and we will travel by school bus. We will return to Snow before our regularly scheduled lunch time. Please send $5 and your child’s permission slip back to school by this Friday. Parents are welcome to chaperone and are free of cost. Thank you for your cooperation.

All Snow Families are invited to kick off March is Reading Month by coming into the school Tuesday morning to read with your child(ren)! You may bring a blanket or towel to sit on. We will line the lobby and hallways reading our favorite books. Feel free to bring books from home if you’d like. The event will take place 8:00-8:30 a.m. Thank you for sharing your excitement of reading with your child.

It’s time for students to nominate their favorite Dearborn Public Schools teacher for the 2020 Alberta Muirhead Teacher of the Year Students’ Choice Award. The nomination deadline is Monday, March 9th at 5pm. Go to http://dearbornschools.org for the nomination form to print or to submit a nomination form online. Students may nominate any new or veteran teachers whom they feel has made outstanding contributions to the teaching profession. Nominate your favorite Snow teacher today!!

Student Contest

March is reading month and we want to decorate the main hallway for our theme Even the Jungle Needs Leaders!  If you would like to create a Jungle Prop for Snow School keep reading!

What: Create a prop to be hung or placed in our main hallway, (the bigger the better:)

When: Due Friday Feb 28, 2020.

The student who wins first prize will get a Target Gift Certificate for $25.

The winner will be announced on Monday, March 2, 2020.
