I hope everyone is well! I know this is a stressful time with the virus and shutdown. I don’t want to make things worse with work from home being too much. Please reach out to me if your child is struggling with time management because of having to share electronic devices or feeling too stressed out. I realize many parents need to use home computers because of working from home. Also, many students have siblings to share devices with as well. The most important assignments are I-ready minutes and Zearn lessons each week. The students have been doing GREAT with these! So if your child is feeling overwhelmed, just focus on these for the week! If they can do more, then focus on the other assignments after completing I-ready and zearn for the day. I’m a parent and realize that mental and physical health are so important too!! We’re in this together! Thank you for your unconditional support from home. The students have been doing GREAT! I truly miss them and hope to see them on Wednesday morning for our Google Meeting at 10:30. Hugs and stay healthy!

Also, please remember to read 15 mins. a day. This can be a book from home or you can create an account on Epic to search books that interest you. I’ve added an opinion writing assignment on Google Classroom. It will be due in 2 weeks. I’ve also added a science lesson from Mystery Science. If you don’t have the materials for the lesson at home, don’t worry! Do the best you can and find out what you can learn from the lesson. You can document what you’ve learned onto Google Classroom. Ms. S., Mr. Moyer, Mr. Stinson and Ms. AlSaad have assignments for you as well. Any questions? Please feel free to email me at grizzed@dearbornschools.org.
