Celebrities of the Day!!!

Students were introduced to methods moviemakers and storytellers take to develop a character in media. The example used from the book is from the show “Smallville” which is about Superman as a teenager. The literature book had an accompanying clip for the students to watch to pay attention to the facial expressions, body language, dialogue, behavior, and camera movements that occur to develop a character and the way they feel as the plot unfolds. They had a sheet to fill out while watching this clip and we stopped frequently to discuss each of these elements.
