ParentConnect for parents that are struggling to sign in
Good Morning, The following is information on how to log into ParentConnect. If you are struggling to remember your pin, there are directions on how to recover that information. 1. How do parents login to ParentConnect? To login to ParentConnect, parents need their PIN and password; there are 2 options to get this information.Option 1 (Screen below – Recommended): Parents go to Dearborn Schools web site then ParentConnect link. If they don’t know the login info, they click (Need Your Login Information) link and it will prompt them to enter their email address as provided to the school and entered in MIStar (Menu/Enrollment/Student Editor/Contacts) and click Submit. This process emails them their PIN and Password. Option 2 (Screen below): If parents are unable to receive the email (no email, etc) and administrators need to provide the info, administrators can access MIStar Menu / System / ParentConnect Manager / Contacts Passwords as indicated below. Even though Option 2 is available for administrators, Option 1 is recommended because parents have to login to their email to retrieve the info and you can always add the email in Student Editor/Contacts if missing. |
Remote Learning
Good morning! As I’m sure most of you have heard, Governor Whitmer has delivered an official order that schools will be closed for the remainder of the school year unless there is a drastic change in this current situation. This is not the end of our learning but just a change in how school will be delivered for our remaining time together. Please continue to complete online work, read books, and practice your skills. We are still getting more guidance from the district and they are getting new information from the state. Please try not to fall behind or check out because you think that none of this counts. On the contrary, assume that all the work that you are being given is graded and counts towards your overall grades and advancement in school. As we learn more, your teachers will keep you updated. I truly miss seeing you every day! Enjoy your Spring Break as best you can. Stay home and find new ways to connect with your families. Refresh yourselves and get ready to come back to new and interesting lessons from your teachers. Soak up some sun and the warmer weather.
Virtual Spirit Week!!
Please participate in our Virtual spirit week. Send in pictures of your participation. This is a fun way to get involved even when we aren’t together. Enjoy the fun!!
This is a great time to read
I hope that you are all taking some time to relax and a break from the screen every once in a while. TV shows and movies are a great way to entertain ourselves, however books can be just as entertaining and help improve your skills. Just a short video talking about movies verses books.

Mindful Breathing
Good morning all!!! I know that some of you are feeling a little overwhelmed by the work being posted by your teachers. Social distancing and not being able to just go hang out has an affect on all of us. Here is a short video on some mindful breathing to help you refocus and get ready for a new day.
Great video
Here is a great youtube video by Justin Mustone about productive with online learning. Mr. Mustone is a teacher at Woodworth Middle School. We recommend spending about 45-60 minutes per subject each day doing online learning. Stay Healthy!!! Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
