Haigh Bottle Cap Drive

imgres

Haigh Families,

America Recycles Day, a program of Keep America Beautiful, is a nationally recognized day dedicated to promoting and celebrating recycling in the United States. Every year on or around November 15, organizations create events to promote this special day and teach our kids global citizenship, the importance of keeping our planet beautiful and the positive impact recycling has for our Earth.

To help celebrate America Recycles Day, we are hosting a school-wide bottle cap drive. We will be collecting all bottle caps from now until November 15. Your support in this collection will help our school come together as a community, learn the importance of recycling and recognize our proud title of being a “Green School.”

Thank you in advance for your participation and support! Happy collecting!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Buenting & Ms. Otto, Green School Committee

The students are beginning their section in science on electrical energy.  They were given a bulb, battery and wire to create a circuit. Could you make the bulb light up?
