Reading – only 1 assignment
- Reading – poetry
Watch the video and read the poem. Then answer the three questions.
(20 minutes) Writing Prompt
This week we would like you to write a letter to a teacher who really helped you through a problem or challenge, or to a former teacher.
(20 minutes) Science on Tuesday:
Read the article that is linked on Google Classroom: Tuesday Science -How does your brain control you?.
FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS ON THE ASSIGNMENT. When you are done with the video do the assignment on the Google document. Write on that attachment and then submit. I will grade it after I receive it.
(20 minutes) Social Studies on Wednesday:
There will be a lesson posted each Wednesday for Social Studies on Google Classroom. There are two assignments this week. First, think about all the “essential” workers who are making our lives healthier and happier: doctors, nurses, first responders, postal carriers, grocery store workers, truck drivers, farmers, and a whole lot more. Your assignment is to make a sign showing your “thanks”. I have seen some in my neighborhood -on lawns and in windows.
Second, read about a famous architect who created a very controversial sculpture that sits in front of one of the most famous museums in the world-The Louvre in Paris, France. This week’s theme is how ART communicates to our communities!
