Nov 29 2017 Fondue Fossils Yesterday we made fondue fossils by placing a plastic animal in the mud and covering it with layers of dirt and rock (chocolate). Today we worked on excavating our fossils. We were working carefully to have a mold fossil of the animal that was buried in mud. The plastic animal represents the cast fossil of the animal. Our class found that this was harder than they thought and definitely tedious.
Spencey told me we should try this at home, so he can eat the chocolate 🙂
