Monday, May 20th

 

This week NWEA testing will continue. We will finish working on reading and then move to science. This will begin on Tuesday in the morning. Make sure that your child has plenty of sleep this week.

If you have not sent in $10.00 for the 5th grade promotion celebration, please do so soon so planning and purchasing of necessary items can be done.

Remember, there is no school this Friday or next Monday…a 4 day Memorial Day weekend.

Our final book orders are due this Wednesday.

Homework

Spelling– Write your words 2 times each in cursive on paper. Sign and correct your test.

Math– Do Learn page 281

Read your pledge minutes and write in your log.

This Week’s Objectives

Literacy

-The students will be working on reviews of summarization and injections.

Writing

– The students will be focusing on editing skills and then begin on an opinion paper..

Science

-The students will wrap up shadows and then, we will look at energy animals receive from the sun and will begin looking at ecosystems.

Social Studies

– The students will continue studying the events that led up to the American Revolution.

Math

-The students will continue working on multiple digit division in the divisor and dividend with and without decimals.

 

** Spelling tests will be given on Tuesday, May 28th and done in cursive.
