Wednesday is our field trip to the IMax and the Ford Rouge Factory. Be sure that your child brings a bag lunch with just the food needed for them. Be sure to include a drink but no pop.
Continue urging your child to read at home. This is reading month so let’s put out more effort.
Homework
Spelling– Write your words 2 times each in cursive on paper. Sign and correct your test.

This Week’s Objectives
Literacy
-The students will continue to work on prepositions and prepositional phrases.
Writing
– The students will work on a narrative and will continue practicing for the M-Step.
Science
-The students will look at what causes nighttime and daytime and then will begin to study the moon and its phases.
Social Studies
– The students will continue studying the three colonial regions in the New World including their economics, landforms, religion and government. Then we will look at some of the settlements in the colonies.
Math
-The students will continue multiplying multi-digit whole numbers and multiples of 10 using place value patterns and the distributive and associative properties. We will also be converting numerical expressions into unit form as a mental strategy for multi-digit multiplication.
