It’s a short week but we have a lot to do! Be sure that your child is completing his/her work every night.
Please make every effort to attend tonight’s Science Night at Oakman for S.T.E.M. activities from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. It should be a BLAST!
Don’t forget Wednesday afternoon is the Celebration Assembly! Please join us as we celebrate the achievements of our students at 2:15 in the gym.
Homework
Spelling– Write your words 2 times each in cursive on your worksheet. Sign and correct your test.
Science– Draw a picture that demonstrates gravity and add a caption to it.
Math– Pg. 143-144 in Learn
Read your pledge minutes and write in your log.
This Week’s Objectives
Literacy
-The students will work again on finding the main idea and key details in selected text. They will also be analyzing text.
Writing
– The students will continue research on their informational piece on the Earth’s spheres and then begin work on a rough draft.
Science
-The students will finish their unit on Earth science and start looking at space and gravity.
Social Studies
– The students will be studying the Columbian Exchange and the African economy.
Math
-The students will continue multiplying multi-digit whole numbers and multiples of 10 using place value patterns and the distributive and associative properties. We will also be converting numerical expressions into unit form as a mental strategy for multi-digit multiplication.
