It looks like winter is about to hit us!  Be sure to have your child shovel some snow for you tomorrow…it’s great exercise!

Don’t forget that there is no school on Monday in recognition of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday.  But most importantly, remember the wonderful things he accomplished being an activist for civil rights.

Sunday night there is a lunar eclipse.  It begins about 9:30 p.m. and will last until about 11:30 p.m.  Since there is not school on Monday, have your child make an observation and write a paragraph about what he/she saw.  The view should be spectacular!!

Over the next 3 days, encourage your child to work on educational sites such as, NWEA practice, Khan Academy, Exact Path or Study Island.  Next week we will continue NWEA testing in the areas of language and science.

Homework

Cursive– Complete both sides of your name sheet and do the one worksheet.

Science- Write a paragraph describing the lunar eclipse on Sunday night.

Read every day and make 3 log entries.
