Not only is this the last week of school in 2018, but it is also Spirit Week!  Please join in the fun!

Tomorrow is the 5th Graders VS the Oakman Staff Volleyball Game.  Unfortunately, I will not be able to play but I will be cheering on the staff members as we try to keep our unbeaten streak alive!  Be sure that your child is dressed to play.

Homework

Spelling– Write your words 3 times each in your spiral. Sign and correct your test.

Read at least 20 minutes and write in your log.

This Week’s Objectives

Literacy

-The students will work at writing a letter with a purpose along with a partner, relationships of events in using chronological order and inferencing in text.

Writing

– The students will continue working on their narrative writing piece.

Science

-The students will continue studying the water on Earth, where it is found and how to protect it from contaminants.

Social Studies

– The students will be researching explorers of the new world and then studying the Columbian Exchange.

Math

-The students will begin multiplying multi-digit whole numbers and multiples of 10 using place value patterns and the distributive and associative properties.
