I hope you had a nice relaxing weekend, now it’s time to get back to work!  Please check this blog daily so you are on top of the classroom activities.  Today many students did not have their work completed.  This is a top priority!  Make sure that school work is done and you have signed the assignment sheet.

At the beginning of the week, I will list the areas to be studied in classroom subjects and the spelling words.  Take time to ask your child about what is going on in the classroom.

This Week’s Objectives

 

Literacy

-The students will be continuing identifying reading strategies and explaining inferences found in text.

Writing

– The students will continue work on their narrative stories.  We will be focusing on grabber sentences as well as revising and editing.

Science

-The students will be looking at chemical reactions and why they occur.

Social Studies

– The students are reviewing the branches of government and their responsibilities.

Math

-The students will be working on place value and exponents.
