I hope you had a wonderful weekend!  Only two more weeks of school in 2018…my, time is going fast!

This week the 3rd and 5th grades will be having a Winter Concert on Thursday, December 13th at 2:00 p.m.  Please be sure to join us!

Homework

Spelling– Write your words 3 times each in your spiral.  Sign and correct your test.

Read 20 minutes and write in your log.

This Week’s Objectives

Literacy

-The students will work at writing a letter with a purpose along with a partner, relationships of events in using chronological order and inferencing in text.

Writing

– The students will finish working on our opinion paper, how to use appropriate transition words and then look at the elements of a narrative.

Science

-The students will take a quiz on the four spheres of Earth and then continue studying the water on Earth, where it is found and how to protect it from contaminants.

Social Studies

– The students will be researching explorers of the new world and then studying the Columbian Exchange.

Math

-The students will continue working on dividing whole numbers and decimals with and without remainders, finishing Module 1 and then begin Module 2.
