I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your friends and family! It’s now time to get back to work! This week, we have some special events taking place:
Tuesday– Math-a-Thon
Thursday-Celebration Assembly 2:15 to 3:15
Friday– Parent Literacy Meeting @ 1:30
Please make every effort to join us for the Parent Literacy Meeting on Friday afternoon. We really need to get our students reading and writing to insure success! Check out the chart below.
We had two students go home today sick. If your child is complaining of a stomachache or a sore throat, please keep them home.
Tomorrow’s lunch menu will be Quesadillas not Bean and Cheese Burritos.
Homework
Spelling– Write your words 3 times each in your spiral. Sign and correct your test.
Math– Do Succeed pgs. 61-62. Practice for the Math-a-Thon
Read 20 minutes and write in your log.
This Week’s Objectives
Literacy
-The students will work at analyzing a personal letter and identifying its parts, relationships of events in using chronological order and inferencing in text.
Writing
– The students will work on a new opinion paper and how to use appropriate transition words.
Science
-The students will study the water on Earth, where it is found and how to protect it from contaminants.
Social Studies
– The students will be studying the American native Indians, their locations and comparing and contrasting them.
Math
-The students will work on dividing whole numbers and decimals.
