This week is Spirit Week at Oakman! Join the fun by dressing up each day!
Tuesday- Wear Pink to support cancer (Please send in a $1.00 donation to support the cause)
Wednesday- Wear a Halloween costume (no masks or weapons) Trunk or Treat and other Halloween fun
Thursday- Pajama day
Friday- Wear Oakman colored shirts and hats ½ day
If you would like to send in Halloween treats for Wednesday, please do…but no cupcakes!
I will be back tomorrow afternoon.
Homework
Spelling– Write your words 3 times each in your spiral.
Read 20 minutes and write in your log.
This Week’s Objectives
Literacy
-The students will work with informational text and integrate information from different texts. We will also be reviewing finding the main idea.
Writing
– The students will work on taking notes and paraphrasing them in their own words and then writing a comparison lead.
Science
-The students will review the states of matter, and chemical and physical changes. Then we will test on this Thursday or Friday.
Social Studies
– The students will primary and secondary sources and will be taking a test on these skills later in the week. We will also be looking at timelines.
Math
-The students will work on adding and subtracting decimals and then multiplying and dividing.
