Happenings for May 15th – 19th

8th grade: This week begins our manufacturing unit with wood. Students will begin with making a sanding block which they will use to smooth wood for their serving tray project. The sanding block activity takes about 2 days. Students are reminded to not wear open-toed shoes in class for safety. Students also asked if they could bring in their own safety glasses and that is fine as long as they are labeled with the students name.

7th grade: students are continuing with architecture this week with completing their home design on smallblueprinter.com. many will be starting the drawing portion on paper later this week. Remember that pencils are a must from this week on!

6th Grade:  this is our final week of building of the game board. Students are asked to complete building and spend one class period making any changes they need before we begin testing the games with other groups in the classroom for evaluation. All boards and pieces must be completed by Tuesday the 23rd.
