Pennies for Patients helps with the research for a cure to leukemia. The entire Dearborn Heights Campus will be collecting loose change Wednesday, February 5th, 12th, and 26th. So please, look under your car seats, under the couch cushions, and on top of dressers for your loose change and donate to this worthy cause!

JOURNAL:  Poet – – Which 3 poets have interested you the most so far and why?  Explain.

2.Team Teacher Poster Challenge : You work for the Really Good Stuff teacher resource company.  The company creates and sells the most teacher resources in the country!  One resource that your company sells the most of every year are POSTERS!  Especially cute poster sets (You know teachers; they are suckers for colorful poster sets that cover all the empty wall space they have).  Your team’s job is to create a poster or a set of posters that teaches students how to annotate poems, instructs them on at least three different types of figurative language, and teaches them the difference between mood and tone.

3.Review rubric

2. Read all 12 poems in Google Classroom and chose 3 that you are most interested in.

3.Annotate your top three poems

HOMEWORK:  If you have not finished annotating the three poems, please finish TWO of them at home. You will have time tomorrow to finish the 3rd one.

2.Cut Apart activity – students cut apart sentence strips and then put them in an order that created the outline of an argumentative essay.
