8th Grade

JOURNAL:  Would You Rather – – eat a dead bug or a live worm?  Explain.

1.  Advertisements – look at them and begin to classify them into categories. Consider:

– Product?

– Word choice and phrasing?

  – The main person, picture, focus of the ad?

  – Who are they targeting for the item?

  – Feelings evoked when considering the whole ad? 2.Have an explanation for each of the categories that your group created.

HOMEWORK: Make sure you are all caught up on summer IXLs.  Postcards due next Monday.

6th Grade

JOURNAL:  Journal:  Are You – – Are you more of a cautious person or are you more of a risk taker?  Explain and if possible, use a specific example from your life.
