Keep Up the Good Work!

Parents, Families, and Students,

Thank you for all your hard work and commitment during this unprecedented time. Thank you for doing your best – despite all the different challenges that you’ve faced. Thank you for making sure your child is attempting the work and working to their best ability in this new realm of remote learning. We’re almost done with this school year.

Just a quick reminder that per the Governor’s orders for Continuity of Learning, schools are required to grade for this last card marking in ALL subjects including Specials. Here are the district’s guidelines for grading ELEMENTARY students. Report cards will show these letters (M, P, L)

  • Meeting (M):  regularly submitted work and attended check-ins
    • Accuracy of work assessed on standards/graded/recorded in MiStar
    • High participation
  • Progressing (P):  Submitted most assignments and attended some of the check-ins
  • Limited Participation (L):  with one of the following explanations
    • Rarely or did not submit work (may be required to attend summer school)
    • Rarely attended check-in sessions (may be required to attend summer school)
    • Family hardship during the time of instruction (summer support offered)

Participation includes doing assignments on Google Classroom and assigned activities on specified websites.

Special Area Classes (Gym, Music, Art, Media)- You need to check into special teachers’ blogs or Google Classroom to meet their criteria. These are located on my Google Classrooms.

Again, thank you for all you are doing during this stressful time.

We may not be all in the same boat, but we are all in the same storm.

stay healthy helpful and calm
