It’s finally here! Our field trip to the zoo has arrived! A few quick reminders and announcements.
Everyone
- Bring a disposable lunch and beverage. We will NOT be buying treats and drinks at the zoo.
- Wear weather appropriate clothing- it is forecasted to be in the 40’s while we are there. (yes the high says 53 but that doesn’t happen until after we leave). We will be outside most of the time. Dress in layers so that if you get warm, you can take a layer off. You probably will need gloves or mittens.
- Wear comfortable shoes. We will be walking a LOT.
- Have FUN!!!
Students
- Do NOT bring money. We will not be buying anything.
- Follow all school rules and listen to your adult leader. If you do not follow school rules, your teacher will be contacted and you will be removed from your group.
Chaperones
- Please arrive and check into the school office by 8:45.
- Due to space on the bus, we have asked you to drive separately, feel free to carpool with other parents who are going. We have 27 chaperones for all of 2nd grade, so I am sure there will be many opportunities to carpool. It does cost $8 to park. The best option, is to follow the bus, so that we arrive together and groups do not have to wait to get started.
- Bring a large sturdy bag, tote, or backpack to carry your group’s lunches.
- Please do NOT purchase your group any snacks, drinks, or souvenirs. It is not fair to the other students if one group gets something and the others do not.
- Please have your group back at the main gate by 1:00.
- Please make sure all students have used the restroom before exiting the gates and boarding the bus.
- You may take your child home after the field trip if you wish, once we arrive at school and you check them out at the office.
