Week of 11/12:
Monday 11/12:
- SSR
- Students worked on their “The Most Dangerous (Board) Game” Projects – Mission #1
- Board game, pieces, and traps are due by tomorrow: Tuesday 11/13!
Tuesday 11/13:
- SSR
- Word Part Mini-Presentations (for some hours) – get the notes from a neighbor if you were absent!
- Students moved on to Mission #2: Summary Checkpoint
- Each person in the group needs to complete the following:
- Write a 5-7 sentence summary of a page or two from “The Most Dangerous Game” on a piece of loose leaf paper. Your selected page(s) must be different from the other members of your group!
- Create a notecard that tells the player which page(s) they are summarizing and contains your summary (as a key)
- This is due at the end of the hour!
- Each person in the group needs to complete the following:
Wednesday 11/14:
- SSR
- Students moved on to Mission #3: Storyline Checkpoint
- Students had to create 10 cards for their game that deal with aspects of the story:
- 8 of the cards need to be creative tasks for the player to compelte (acting, drawing, etc.)
- No more than 2 cards can be multiple choice questions
- These will be checked in during the CFA on Thursday!

Thursday 11/15:
- Summary Common Formative Assessment on the Chromebooks – if you were absent, see me about making this up!
- Students moved on to Mission #4: Supporting Details
- Each member of the group must select 1 statement to create a “supporting details” card. This card will require a player to choose/find the best possible evidence to support the claim provided.
- These can be multiple choice (with at least 4 choices) or a “search and find evidence” option – if you choose the latter, you must select at least 3 quotes from the text that would be possible correct answers.
- These are due on Friday!
Friday 11/16:
- SSR
- Honors Capstone – If you are interested in pursuing the honors label for this class, see me for more information!
- Students must complete missions #5 and #6:
- Mission #5: Vocabulary – Students must create 10 more task cards for the players to complete that deal solely with the vocabulary from the story. Follow the directions on the sheet, and if you have any questions, come see me.
- Mission #6: Presentation – Students will present their board game projects on Monday 11/19! Touch base with your group to see which part of the presentation you will be responsible for.
