Zoo Field Trip
Kindergarten is going on a field trip to the Detroit Zoo on May 1, 2018.
We will leave school at 9:00 a.m. and return to school around 2:00 p.m. The cost of the trip is
$11.00 per student or chaperone. Please return permission slip to school no later than April 20, 2018.
Field trips are a privilege. PBIS expectations of being safe, responsible and respectful, must be followed. If your child gets his or her card flipped to RED between now and the date of our field trip, he or she will not be allowed to go on the field trip with us. He or she will be placed in another classroom while our class is gone. NO refunds will be issued.
Students must pack their own healthy lunch in a brown bag. We will be eating our bag lunches at the picnic area in the zoo. Please NO glass containers or reusable container because everything will be thrown away!
Thank you so much!

Spirit Friday!!!
Bikes for Books!

“Bikes for Books” will be provided as agreed upon by the Dearborn Public Schools and Dearborn Lodge #172. The program will start on Monday, March 12, 2018 and run until Monday, April 30, 2018. Students will be entered into a raffle to win a bike once they complete the reading of three (3) books. For every book they read beyond the original three (3) they will receive additional entries into the raffle for their hard work. The teachers in each class room will keep tally of how many books each child reads. At the end of the program the tallies will be given to the principal or designated staff member in charge of the program at your school. The Raffle buckets at each school should be split into two categories; one for boys and one for girls as we will give away a boy’s bike and a girl’s bike at each school.

Welcome to Our Classroom Fundraising Page!
Our Classroom is fundraising for Heros by participating in a Student Series program. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Series campaign is working with thousands of schools across the country to raise funds for blood cancer research.
Thanks to schools like US and donors like YOU, there are more children and adults surviving every day.
All donations are greatly appreciated and are tax deductible. Donations support LLS research, patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services.
Visit our Web site often to check our progress and please invite friends who would also like to donate!
You can also support a specific student. Search for the student’s name* on the left side of the screen to locate their personal fundraising page. Students will earn Thank You gifts by raising funds and receiving donations on their personal page.
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support!

Keep the Timelines coming!!!!
Timeline Project
WHAT: A project for you to do WITH your child. Make a timeline of your child’s life using pictures from each birthday/year of their life, or a major milestone (when they learned to talk, walk, ride a bike, swim, etc).
DUE: Thursday, March 1, 2018
Example:
Hassan’s Timeline 1/3/10 6/10/11 date date 9/19/15 Hassan is born. Hassan got his first tooth. Caption Caption Hassan lost his first tooth. |
Date: When the event occurred.
Caption: Write a sentence about the picture.
Please feel free to use these two pieces of paper to create your timeline. If you would rather use poster board or something else, that is up to you and your child.
We encourage you to enjoy looking through pictures and make the timeline together. This is supposed to be a “family” project. If for some reason you do not have a picture of an important event you want to write about, draw it. Make the most of this learning experience together, but most of all have fun!
Thank you,
Ms. Fadhl
