Materials Pick-up

Families,

Our next materials pick up date will be Monday October, 26 at 1:15-2:00. This pick up will be a drive by just like before. I will have new math materials, unit 2 reading & writing, reading bags, and other needed items.
It is important that someone comes to pick up these items to allow your student to continue with their learning properly. Remember who ever comes just needs the teacher name, Ms. Fadhl, and student’s name.

In-person Learning Labs have been canceled.

In-Person Learning Labs:

The Learning Lab Committee, district nurses, and the district leadership team met today. As aligned with the Learning Lab guidelines in-person Learning Labs will be inactive effective tomorrow, Wednesday October 21, 2020 for an indefinite time frame. The guidance provided by the Wayne County Health Department indicates undesirable trends regarding the out-Wayne County Covid positivity rate (4.6% as of 10/20/20), infection rate within the Dearborn community, resulting in a slight increase in the school infection cases as a result of community spread. Please be advised that we will look at the weekly data report so staff should be ready to return to learning labs in person at any point in time. We will of course attempt to give a couple of days advance notice for planning concerns.

Math NWEA testing and Learning Labs

Families, as you may have heard face to face ‘Learning Labs’ start next week for elementary. However, Kindergarten has not finished their NWEA testing so we will continue to have students coming to the school for 1/2 hour to do the last of the NWEA for Fall. This means Kindergarten Learning Labs (face to face) will begin the week of October 12-16 but virtual Learning Labs will start on Monday.

My face-to-face Learning Labs will be on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons from 1:55-3:50. Each learning lab will be a 1/2 hour with 3 students at a time. This means not all students will be invited to the Learning Labs at this time. There is no bussing for the face-to-face labs also.

My virtual Learning Labs will begin on Monday, October 5th. They will be on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. These will be small groups for students working with me on ZOOM. I have been working on the scheduling for this and will share it with you soon. Every student will have at less two learning labs (F2F or virtual) per week.

Below I have shared a link to sign up for NWEA testing next week. Testing will be Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon. Please sign up using the link.
