The Family Involvement Committee is partaking in an exciting new event this year: Pennies for Patients to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. This is a great opportunity for the students to get in the philanthropic spirit and do good for the community. It will run from November 4th to November 26th (it could be a great Thanksgiving tie in as well!) 

How it will work: 

• Each student will receive a cardboard box to be filled with pennies (or other change) that they can deposit into a large container in your room. 
• At the end of each week, Erika and I will send students to collect your container. We will deposit them at CoinStar and keep a tally of how much money your class has raised. 
• You will get a brag tag that you can give to each student who donates.
• The class who raised the most money in each grade level each week will receive a poster for their door.
• The class who raised the most in the whole school at the end of the fundraiser will get a pasta party from Olive Garden!!!
