Tuesday April 13

I had a great 1st day with the students. We started working on our journals (which will include writing or tracing of our names as well drawings), painted rain clouds, and practiced cutting straight lines on an umbrella. I will be using this week to become familiar with the children and help make the transition for the kids easier! Here are some pictures I was able to take 🙂

Welcome

Good Afternoon, My name is Ms Cristina and I am so excited to be starting at Duvall next week! I just wanted to take the time to introduce myself. I have been working within the Dearborn Public Schools Early Program for the past 10 years. Currently, I’m housed at Snow Elementary School in their All  Day Preschool Program. I’m so excited to be able to work with your child and make their first year of School an enjoyable experience!!
Learning doesn’t stop when they leave the classroom. I always like to include the families to incorporate what we are working on in the classroom. I like to send out something called Home-School Connections. These ARE NOT mandatory, just some fun ways to bring what we are leaning in the classroom home with you.
I also created a blog for the classroom (https://iblog.dearbornschools.org/duvallpreschool/). On this blog, I will keep parents updated on what we are doing in the classroom as well as pictures of the children doing various activities.
Please feel free to reach out to me at any time if you have any questions or concerns.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.  I look forward to meeting everyone on Tuesday!
