The students worked hard this week with their new spelling words. We are having so much fun learning about different types of energy. Please remember, Monday we are going to the Book Fair. If your child has an interest in an book I will let you know the cost so your child can purchase that book next week.

The students had a great time on all of their field trips. They behaved very well and I was impressed how they listened and followed along the play ” Henry and Mudge”. We are working hard on all of our lessons and trying our very best. Thanks again for a great group of students

The students worked hard on identifying the three properties of matter. It was fun doing our Science Experiment. We watched a solid melt into a liquid and then start to form condensation a form of a gas. Then we made root beer floats and watched how the ice cream formed a vapor or bubble when the root beer soda was poured over the ice cream. The three properties of matter are so fun.
The students are doing well on their spelling test. Please sure to work with them at home. Also I hope everyone is going on MYON.com for extra fun reading. Each month I will try to upload books that go with our monthly theme.
On Friday, February 5th there will be a Spaghetti Dinner at the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church. The proceeds go to help raise money for our “Blessings in a Backpack” Dinner will be served from5pm to 7:30pm.

I hope everyone had a nice Martin Luther King Day. All month we have been talking about the properties of matter. I students are doing very nicely on the concept and we are having a lot of fun with our science experiments regarding the three properties of matter. Rumor has it that Roary from the Detroit Lions might be here next Tuesday, January 26th. Please have your student wear either a Detroit Lions T-shirt or a Snow School T-shirt. We are looking forward to great assembly. Have a good weekend and thank you for allowing us to work with a great group of students.
The students were excited to be back and tell all about their Winter Break. As fifth graders we jumped right into our school work with now 6 spelling words. Today was a practice test and I am proud to say that 4 students got a 100% and 1 student wrote the words from memory. Way to go!!!!! If you have not done so please fill out the field trip form and return to me Monday. As you know we will be going to Life Town and the Leon’s for lunch. This is happening on January 15th. I am looking forward to a great time. Have a wonderful weekend.

I has been a busy week. The students were introduce to 4 spelling words instead of 3. We are working hard on learning about various ways people celebrate in December. The children returned to school all excited about their Thanksgiving Break. We of course are back into the swing of things and working hard like 5th graders. Please noticed that we have one more word for our spelling test. Study hard. Remember next week is our time the visit the Santa workshop. Thank you for sending in your money. I know the children will have fun shopping for their families. Also tomorrow is spirit day so if your child has a Snow school shirt have them wear it.
