I would like to thank all my parents for a wonderful first week. I have been enjoying getting to know them and they learning our classroom procedures. It will be a great school year. Also a special thank you to Reyna’s mom and General’s mom for delicious snacks. You are so sweet. Have a great weekend and I am looking forward to another fun week.

The clean up parade today was a lot of fun. The students loved handing out flowers to our neighbors around Snow School. Please do not forget about our appointments we scheduled for next week at Stout Middle School. I will send home reminders in our Daily Planner. Please enjoy your child’s reading book they brought home. Each student made a gain in reading this book this month.

All the student’s worked very hard and are showing improvement in sight reading and math. I am so proud of each and everyone. Thank you to all the families who are following the ABC countdown. I loved the beach wear, favorite animal and especially those crazy hats. We still have many more days remaining. Next week will be wild. On Thursday, May 26 will by Snow Schools Clean Up Parade. Please make sure your child wears his/her Snow Leadership shirt, please. Also there will not be school on Friday, May 27th and Monday, May 30. This our Memorial Day break. Also the end of the year all School fun picnic will be happening in June. I hope all of you can attend the fun. Have a great weekend and hopefully no more snow.

I hope all of my student mom’s had a great mother’s day. I sent home yesterday in your child’s School Home folder your invitation for our final IEP. We will be meeting at Stout Middle School. We would like to invite you to take our on-line Leader In Me Survey to collect some data for our Leader In Me grant. The link for you is provided below. We are highly encouraging all parents to take part in this survey. It is our hope that we have at least 250 parents take this survey and IF we do the school will be holding an organized dance party on Thursday, May 26 from 2:30-3:00. Mr. D will be our very own DJ. Have a wonderful Mother’s Day. Thank you for allowing us to work with your child. I hope you all enjoy your gift. The Detroit Zoo was a lot of fun and a lot of walking. We had fun with our Annapolis friends. Thank you to Kayla and Jod’s moms for coming and helping us. We truly appreciate it. Also today was our Leadership Day and all the students were true leaders.

It was another good week. The students did a great job on their running records for reading. I only had 3 100% on their spelling test. The rest of you have better study for next week’s words. Have a great weekend and see all of you on Monday.

The children as always had a great time at Life Town. I am sad that it was our last time for this school year. We had lunch at Leon’s and this time they charged $2.00 per student. Please find your $5.00 change in our To From folder. Next week we are on two adventures: Wednesday Stout Middle School to see the production “Hairspray” and Friday our tour of Stout Middle School to meet your child’s new teachers and to see the building. The weather is suppose to be beautiful get outside and enjoy your weekend. Thank you again for allowing us to work with a great group of students.

I hope everyone had a rested and fun Spring Break. We had fun on our field trip at Outdoor Adventure. There were so many activities. I also want to thank the parents who volunteered to help with this field trip you all were amazing. Next week will be a busy as this week and please remember our field trip to Life Town is Friday.
