Wayne County Regional Enhancement Education Millage Proposal

School districts in Wayne County have placed a proposal on the November 8th ballot to provide added funding for our schools. It is the “Regional Enhancement Millage Proposal.”

If approved by the entire county, the 2 mil proposal will generate approximately $6.2 million from Dearborn but the District will receive $7.8 million in additional funding for our schools.  Money would go to local schools starting this year and the millage expires after six years.  Continue reading

Week of October 31st

The students who were able to go to ASC building to treat or trick had a wonderful time.  I was impressed hearing great manners.  We all had a wonderful time.  Those who could not participate joined Mrs. Smith’s class with our Miss Raisah.  We are working hard on our new spelling words, reading books and learning about different Science Projects.  Remember Wednesday, November 9th and16th and Thursday, November 17th are Parent-Teacher Conferences.  I am looking forward to talking with all of you about your child.  Have a great weekend.

Week of October24th

We had another great week.  The students are continuing to amaze me with their willingness to learn new stuff.  We had a great time painting our pumpkins thank you to General’s Mom.  She is so generous.  We also made Apple Crisp.  The items for our Apple Crisp were purchased on our weekly CBI shopping experience. By the way everyone is doing a great job.  Monday is our Trick or Treating at ASC building.  Please be sure to put your child’s name on their costume.  I do not want any pieces to become loss.  Thank you again for allowing us to work with a great group of students and have a great weekend.

Week of October of 17th

Another great week.  We were introduced to new spelling words.  This week we talked about how the Earth rotates around the Sun and causes seasonal changes.  If you have not already please be sure to turn in your child’s field trip form for our annual Trick or Treating to ASC building

Have a great weekend and looking forward to another great week with your child.

Week of October 10th

It has been an exciting week.  We got to welcome a new student to our classroom, Asma Alkuhali.  We are so glad to have her become a part of our family.  We also had the pleasure of having Reyna’s dad, Mr. Smith be our “Watch Dog” this past Thursday.  Thank you for your great help.  The students as always are doing great and it as always it is my pleasure to be their teacher.  Have a great weekend.
